Geographical and Climate Features

Kish Island is a small land like the ship sitting in the shallow and warm waters of the Persian Gulf , Retail climates (micro Klima ) of island is heavily dominated by phenomenon caused by big water bed that the changes range of its day and night temperature is small in the year. Island water vapor pressure is too high for most of the year (relative humidity of 50-60 percent). The daily average temperature difference throughout the year is less than 9-10 degrees and the temperature never fell in the ice or is not zero.

According to the meteorological data, the average amount of humidity per kg of dry and heat weather on January is 15 grams and on July is 25 grams. Kish in the months of October to March has a mild and pleasant temperatures and the island has favorable environmental conditions in this interval. From May to October, weather is hot and humid and the daily average temperature of Island is almost close to each other. In May, because sea water is still cold and relative humidity is low, air is dry and wind is almost gentle, cool and in total it has fair weather and environmental conditions are very favorable .
The temperature differences between the hottest and coldest months of the island are about 16 degrees. That is, January has the lowest evaporation with 12% fluctuation and most cool and the driest month of the island and August with the most amounts of evaporation and fluctuation around 28 % has the highest evaporation and the warmest month of the island. High evaporation during the August month cause of occasional rains affected by the wet weather of the Indian Ocean. August occasional rains is mainly flooding and fall in a short time, often washed soil, and because of it high heat in the surface of the earth, its wet quickly disappear of soil, and at the same time, the rains of this time is grace and divine mercy, that should benefit from them and control their water with the creation of large and small dams. Although the island is located on a salt dome, unlike the other islands (like Qeshm), the head of the underlying salt domes rise not too high. So, fortunately, the geological situation is somehow that their influence in underground does not cause a rise in salinity and Measures can be taken to kept precipitation in dams long after the rain ( saline land is very low compared with the total area).
